The name comes from Robert Lewis's book...Raising a Modern Day Knight. This book gives such a clear vision of God's call on a man's life. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to every man as must reading. Modern Day Knights desires to carry on Robert's clarion call to provide vision in a world where people are perishing for lack of proper vision.
Modern Day Knights began in the spring of 2001 to call men to a passionate love relationship with Christ. Modern Day Knights has sponsored dozens of events to light fires of God’s Love everywhere we can. We believe this fire began with God himself and we are participating with Him in carrying on His message. Raleigh Washington from Promise Keepers said that God is doing something special in this area and we ought to position ourselves for what God wants to do. Robert calls this a transcendent cause.
